Hey guys, I hope all is going well with you.

I haven't been on this site in forever, hah, so I just figured I'd update on some things even though I doubt anyone will read this.

I finished last season with a 169 average...talk about utter crap...My dad thinks it's because of the low competition level at Aloma, but whatever the reason, I'm not going to be bowling there this year. The league started yesterday and it was weird to sleep in on a Saturday...I've been waking up early to bowl on Saturdays since I was nine..it's definitely a change.

The weird part is that I actually made the Orlando youth all-city team (for girls) with that average. Huh? I couldn't believe it when my friend Pauline told me. Last year the lowest average on the team was 187. Apparently they put in a new rule where you have to have bowled in the city and state tournaments to be eligible for the team, and a lot of the UCF bowlers didn't bowl in city. Still, I never thought I would've made it with a 169, lmao. o_0

Speaking of the state tournament, it went pretty well...I bowled average overall...My team came in fifth place in division one, which was cool. It sucks that we were only like four pins out of third place, argh! hah. We had a lot of fun though.

I also went to the JOG nationals in Buffalo this summer for the first time. To say that I bowled absolutely horrible would be a bad understatement, but I'm over it now..It was still a good experience, and the only thing I can do is to learn from it and do better next year.

The high school bowling season in Florida is fast approaching..Our first match is this Thursday! I can hardly believe it. I'm so excited because this is my favorite time of the year..I think our team has some real potential this year, and hopefully we'll get a 3-peat for the district championship and improve on our 9th place finish in the state last year. whatever happens, it'll be a blast. :)

Welllllll I've got nothing else to say as far as bowling goes so I'll post more later. bye everyone. <3

Hey, I'm Julie and I just joined Bowlspace....I'm 15 and I'm in my seventh year of bowling in league-- at Aloma Bowl in Winter Park, FL. I'm a sophomore at Winter Park High School and I bowl on the girls varsity team. My yearbook average is 177...It got up to 181 in my summer league, but I'm in an awful slump right now. I've watched my average slip down to around 169 this year, which is what it was about two years ago. It's really disheartening considering my goal for this year was 190, but whatever, I'm working on it.

Anyways, this site is a pretty interesting idea..I'd love to meet other bowling fans on here. :)
